Here\u2019s what you need to know.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Google Ads has announced three changes to the way automated extensions \u2013 a type of ad extension that is created dynamically for your ad when it\u2019s \u201cpredicted to improve your performance.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here\u2019s what\u2019s changing in Google Ads automated extensions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>1: Automated and manual extensions can be shown together.<\/strong> Starting in mid-March, automated extensions can be shown with manually created extensions. So if you have created two sitelinks manually, Google ads can show two dynamic sitelinks, for a total of four sitelinks.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2: Reporting.<\/strong> In the coming weeks, Google Ads will provide a report for \u201cAutomatically created\u201d extensions. You can view these in the table view of the Extensions page.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/searchengineland.com\/figz\/wp-content\/seloads\/2022\/02\/google-ads-automated-extensions-reporting-800x459.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-380295\"\/><figcaption><em>The Google Ads Extensions page.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>3: Can be added at ad group, campaign, or account level.<\/strong> Also starting in mid-March, sitelinks, callouts, and structured snippets from higher levels in your account can serve with extensions of the same type from lower levels. Google said in their announcement that when four sitelinks advertisers can see a <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/google-ads\/answer\/11394461\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">20% higher CTR<\/a>. As always, results will vary. So make sure to check the performance data of your automated extensions.
